Senior Civils Estimator

Duties will include but not excluded to;

• Assisting with quantity take-off for tender preparations


• Undertaking site visits to assist with tender preparations


• Issuing enquiries through tender stage for materials and sub-contracts


• Producing material schedules and sub-contractor BoQs for Operations Teams from successful tenders
  
  They are looking to recruit a Senior Estimator with a civils bias to work under their Pre-Contracts Manager on negotiated tenders and to make up a key component of their bid / estimating team., Be computer literate and competent in use of MS Excel and MS Word


• Have a working experience of electronic take-off from pdf drawings


• 5+ years' experience as an estimator in the UK civil engineering sector


• Knowledge and understanding of bid process within the Civil Engineering sector


• Degree Qualified or working towards completion

I am working exclusively with a Principal Civils Contractor who operate throughout Yorkshire on bulk earthworks and infrastructure schemes up to £15m.

They currently turnover c£30m which only ever slightly fluctuates yearly based on live projects. They are a contractor who have complete confidence and market knowledge in their chosen field and prioritise profit and sustainability over chasing turnover.
