Full Job Description

This one-year post will provide sub-specialist training in all aspects of

Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, with excellent exposure to clinics and surgery. Adult strabismus sessions will be at the Oxford Eye Hospital.

Routine duties are outlined in the appended table. In addition, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of care to patients in addition to the fixed clinical commitments of the weekly timetable, at the instruction of the supervising consultants. The post holder will contribute to the postgraduate activities of the service, including teaching, presentation and publication. The post is primarily based at Birmingham Children's Hospital, with the adult strabismus sessions at Oxford Eye Hospital and ROP screening and treatment at Birmingham Women's Hospital.

Applicants should possess full GMC registration and MBBS or equivalent. Applicants must also be a Native English speaker/English as a second language or have an English Language qualification.
