Full Job Description

Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group, is looking for a motivated medical registrar (ST3+ equivalent level) in Acute Medicine and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) on a 1 year fixed contract. This post would be suitable for motivated doctors who have completed foundation and core medical competencies (or equivalent), have successfully passed parts 1 and 2 of the MRCP examination and wish to gain a period of focused experience and training in acute medicine.

This post would be suitable for motivated doctors who have completed foundation and core medical competencies (or equivalent), have successfully passed parts 1 and 2 of the MRCP examination and wish to gain a period of focused experience and training in acute medicine.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain clinical experience in Acute Medicine, rotating through the busy and varied acute assessment unit (AAU) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC). There is a unique opportunity to participate in SDEC service development in particular as this is a rapidly expanding highly valued service for Whipps Cross. Participation in quality improvement is an expectation of the role. The post involves evening and weekend work on an acute medicine rota, therefore holding full MRCP will be desirable.
