Full Job Description

In addition to this Paediatrics Fellowship opportunity we can also consider your own interests related to Paediatrics that you may wish to pursue.

Applicants should hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCEM, MRCP, MRCS, FRCA or equivalent), and should be ST4 + or equivalent, having completed a minimum of 3 years in approved SHO posts (Post Foundation Medicine) or equivalent in relevant acute specialities including at least 1 year in Emergency Medicine.

If you have an interest in paediatricEmergency Medicine, you will:

  • Have the opportunity to work in a tertiary paediatric Emergency Department
  • Become involved in managing major paediatric trauma in a Paediatric Major Trauma Centre
  • Develop skills and knowledge in managing acutely unwell children, with opportunity to learn specific skill such as infant cannulation and neonatal septic screen
  • Opportunities in teaching and training of more junior colleagues and nursing staff
  • Take part in award winning, in situ, multidisciplinary simulation exercises
