Full Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic & keen doctor, with an interest Medicine. The post holder will provide senior support to the Medicine Teams as required by the needs of the service.
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply, Clinical duties are varied, including (but not limited to):
(a) Review of inpatients during morning ward rounds (including supervising more junior staff).
(b) Overseeing patients once clerked by junior staff (e.g. FY1/2) to assess potential for discharge, follow-up or need for admission and subsequent consultant review.
(c) General support for other medicine team members as needed
(d) GIM on call and ward cover

Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed, The post is full time, fixed-term service for up to 12 months. The postholder with also be required to contribute to the SpR general medicine on-call rota at band 1A/50%, which will include working out of hours, nights and weekends.
