Full Job Description

We have a LTFT (2 days per week), four-month post in Neurology and Stroke Medicine available. The post will be based at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, with the option to attend Neurology and Stroke CPD at the regional Neurosciences Centre at Charing Cross Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for a post Core Training (CT)/Internal Medicine trainee (IMT) Doctor interested in a career in Neurology or Stroke Medicine to join the service, develop leadership skills and gain experience in Neurology and stroke.

Main duties of the job
The main parts of the post involve the care of Stroke and Neurology inpatients, attending outpatient TIA, Stroke and Neurology clinics, reviewing Stroke and Neurology inpatient consults and performing the regular functions of a Neurology/Stroke Registrar. You will be part of a Consultant led team which (in addition to this post) includes two Neurology SpRs, two FY2s, two FY1s, a Neurology Specialist Nurse and a Neurology Pharmacist. There will be consultant ward rounds of new patients, with SpR led ward rounds of existing patients.
