The post holder will be expected to actively participate in regular departmental meetings, such as to Business meeting, Mortality and Morbidity, daily trauma meeting.
It is intended to offer appointee, where possible, equivalent opportunities for personal development as SpR's, ie a study leave entitlement and allocated study leave budget.
Locums are employed only for unexpected leave, such as sickness. All leave, whether annual or study leave, must be booked at least six weeks in advance in line with Trust and Departmental Policy. Leave must be co-ordinated, and may have to be refused if more than a number of senior members of staff request to take leave at the same time.
