Full Job Description

The post holder will undertake daily sexual health clinics, which will involve assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment of unselected patients presenting with a variety of sexual health needs and infections. Training will be provided as required and supervision will be available from a senior doctor.
The post holder will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in HIV medicine. They will participate in HIV ward rounds and undertake a HIV outpatient treatment clinic under supervision.
The post holder will have the opportunity to develop knowledge & skills and gain experience in contraception service provision.
The post holder will have a named clinical supervisor who will coordinate induction, supervision, appraisal and assessment of their progress while in post.
Annual leave allowance is 27 days per annum pro rata plus bank holidays. This must be booked a minimum of 6 weeks in advance.
Study leave will be granted at the discretion of the Service Lead., Senior Clinical Fellow in Sexual Health
This 12-month post would be suitable for applicants with experience in Genitourinary & HIV Medicine.
The post holder will provide clinical care for presenting patients including history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care.
They will be expected to provide high standards of evidence-based, patient centred sexual health and HIV care whilst ensuring that resources within the clinical setting are used efficiently and effectively.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.
We're looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It'll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will undertake 8 clinical sessions per week including Sexual Health and HIV clinics. This will include one evening clinic (within contracted hours). There may be a requirement to undertake a Saturday clinic on a rota basis in the future.
The post holder will have one clinical & results administration session and one CPD/training/audit session per week.
There is a departmental training programme for the 2^nd/4^th Wednesdays, as well as educational and clinical meetings at the Royal London Hospital on the 1^st and 3^rd Wednesdays. The post holder will be expected to attend and actively participate.
