Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint one post-FRCS Upper Limb Fellow within the Upper Limb Unit at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital from August 2025 with a subspecialty interest in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. The Upper Limb Unit has one Fellow, one SpR and a Physician Associate under the supervision of Mr.Richards and Mr White covering all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery including arthroscopy, arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty and trauma. The Fellow is expected to take part in the training of junior team members and ongoing research projects in the Department, and publish at least one article during the tenure.

You will be expected to participate in a 1:9 elective weekend on call service at Guy's Hospital.

The fellow will divide their time between outpatient clinic and both independent and supervised theatre sessions. Dedicated time will be provided to undertake research projects and there is opportunity to become involved with service improvement, audit and postgraduate teaching., To provide high quality orthopaedic services to the Trust patients including the development of the service. To participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care, including theatres, clinics and wards. To participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training To gain further experience and develop an expertise in the management of orthopaedic conditions. To participate in a relevant research project and audits.
