Full Job Description

MRI services at UCLH have expanded in recent years with the openings of Royal National ENT & ED Hospitals and Grafton Way Building.

In September 2025 we will be opening additional MRI services at Bedford Passage. The role encompasses both educational and managerial responsibilities.

The post-holder will lead and develop MRI training & development for staff and work closely with MRI Superintendents as well as the existing team of superintendents, consultants and advanced practitioners.

The post requires leading on training programs, providing clinical expertise and management experience as you will be line managing a group of staff.

You will need to be team orientated with demonstrable teaching abilities as you will be working with under-graduates, trainee radiologists and trainee MRI radiographers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, highly motivated, and dedicated individual with developed expertise in MRI to take on the role of practice educator to help support MRI training across UCLH sites.

You will be working in a cutting-edge clinical environment performing advanced MRI scanning.

You must have outstanding communication skills and a passion for education. The post holder will lead and support delivery of training to MRI radiographers across UCLH sites.

You will be responsible for developing innovative new methods of training and assessment, including simulation.
