Full Job Description

Due to internal promotion of the current post holder we are delighted to invite applications to the Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Respiratory post to deliver a specialised service to our respiratory patients at City Hospital.
The post offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced pharmacy team and wider respiratory MDT to develop your specialist respiratory knowledge, deliver a high level clinical service, support with education and training and service improvement projects.
We will be interviewing for this role on Thursday 9th November.
In addition to this role we also currently have two vacancies within our rotational band 7 programme working across the City medicine specialties for 18 months and a band 7 senior education and training pharmacist position. To provide a clinical pharmacy service to patients on the respiratory wards (including our respiratory admissions unit), offering highly specialist pharmaceutical advice to medical staff, nurses and patients on all aspects of safe and effective use of medicines.
To work alongside the respiratory multidisciplinary team delivering excellent patient care through medicines optimisation. When qualified the post holder will also utilise their prescribing skills to do this.
To assist the specialist respiratory clinical pharmacists with specialty level support roles such as governance, teaching and guidelines.
To deputise for the specialist asthma, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease pharmacists with appropriate support and training.
To be actively involved in quality improvement projects and business cases.
To support, mentor & line manage junior pharmacists and medicines management technicians.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

ID and Right to work checks: NUH authenticate ID and right to work documentation including passports and driving licenses through a system called Trust ID. + Transfer of information: If I have previous NHS service - I consent to the transfer of my Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data between this and other NHS Trusts. I also consent to the Occupational Health Department confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
+ Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£42.90 for enhanced and £22.90 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month's pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
