Full Job Description

We are delighted to advertise for a passionate and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our pharmacy team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post for Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Women & Children will lead the pharmacy team within Women & Children, and work closely with paediatric, neonatal and maternity services to provide outstanding medicines management and medicines optimisation, as well as leadership and service development. The role will encompass input into delivery of effective clinical and operational pharmacy services and ensuring patient safety within the designated divisions.
Applying candidates should be strong leaders, and have experience working within paediatric or maternity areas. They will also be expected to develop strong professional relationships with a wide variety of colleagues and stakeholders. We are searching for an enthusiastic pharmacist who is forward thinking and keen to take on new challenges., South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:
+ Explore leadership within the NHS
+ Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
+ Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
+ Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7, It is now the policy of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost of their DBS. The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month's pay.

The successful candidates will work full time hours 8.30am-5pm Monday - Friday. They will also be included in dispensary and extended/out-of-hours rotas, which are currently:
+ 1 day weekend working once every 5 weeks (reimbursed with a weekday off the following week)
+ 1 'late night' shift every 2 weeks (working hours 9am-5.30pm)
+ On call duties on a rolling rota basis, approximately 1 in 60
