Senior Clinical Psychologist Neurodevelopmental Pathway

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Senior Clinical Psychologist to work within our Neurodevelopmental Pathway in Lambeth CAMHS.

The post holder will provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to children, young people and families in our Tier 3 Neurodevelopmental Pathway in the Lambeth CAMHS River Team.

The post holder will offer highly specialist psychology service to children & young people families & carers including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.

The team supports children and young people with complex mental health difficulties for e.g. anxiety, low mood, emotional and behavioural concerns, self-harm, behaviour that challenges, suspected and/or diagnosed neurodevelopmental concerns.

The post holder will provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to Lambeth CAMHS including individual work for complex case, group work, consultation, support and training for junior staff within the service; supervision for junior staff.

The role will also involve an opportunity for service development and enhance the offer for all children referred to Lambeth CAMHS, as well as a specialist remit to support service development with neurodevelopmental conditions.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a specialist role in the Neurodevelopmental Pathway in Lambeth CAMHS. The post holder will provide specialist assessment, formulation, treatment and casework for children and young people with neurodevelopmental presentations alongside mental health needs.

The role will also involve advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to other members of the team.

Lambeth CAMHS River team is a friendly, dynamic and dedicated multidisciplinary team. The team includes CAMHS Practitioners with backgrounds in Nursing, Social Work, Art Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Child Psychotherapy, Family Therapy and Child Psychiatry. Close working relationships with members of the team and partnership agencies e.g. Social Services, Community Paediatrics, Education and others is essential. You will demonstrate an interest in multi-agency and multi-disciplinary work and be familiar with evidence-based practice, particularly for children with neurodevelopmental concerns. Applicants will be supported to work independently and have good clinical/therapeutic and case management skills.
