Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the Clinical Teaching Fellow position in Anaesthesia & Perioperative Medicine for 12 months.

The post holder will also be appointed to an Honorary Clinical Fellow post at University College London (UCL) and will join an existing pool of numbered trainees who are taking part in a comprehensive ST3+ (specialist trainee year 3 and above) training program in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. The successful applicant will be joining the education faculty within the department and will contribute to our extensive activity in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education as well as the comprehensive multi-professional education and training programme .

Core teaching activities in the role include clinical teaching and supervision of year 4 UCL undergraduates (including tutorials, simulation and clinical skills teaching, participation in quality assurance and development of the teaching programme in response to student feedback). Additional undergraduate teaching opportunities include teaching for year 3 and year 6 including visiting elective students, and joining the faculty for medical school examinations. The post holder will be supported by the undergraduate teaching lead, departmental education faculty and UCL medical school, working alongside clinical teaching fellows in other specialties to deliver a high quality learning experience for undergraduates.

£61,825 a year per annum plus London Weighting
