Senior clinical technologist

The role provides a flexible mix of treatment planning, quality control, research and development. You will be registered with RCT or HCPC., This post will participate in all aspects of the Radiotherapy Physics Service including carrying out highly complex treatment planning, treatment machine quality control and pre- treatment patient QA, introducing new techniques and carrying out applied research. There may also be the opportunity to be involved in the brachytherapy service.

The postholder also provides expert advice to consultant oncologists and other healthcare professionals to resolve problems with complex Radiotherapy equipment and treatment plans., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

You will predominantly undertake treatment planning and equipment quality assurance. Candidates must be registered with RCT or HCPC., You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
