Senior Clinical Trauma Fellow (STRH) in Trauma & Orthopaedics

This post is particularly suitable for Post FRCS (Orth) trainees interested in gaining focussed training in Orthopaedic-Trauma. Independent Operating sessions will be available along with supervised sessions with 16 consultant Surgeons taking part in Trauma service.
This post is not recognised for training by the Royal College of Surgeons.

A Disclosure Check will be required of the successful candidate, The successful candidates will be based at the University Hospital of Wales and will undertake dedicated research sessions in trauma. They will be also expected to provide middle grade cover for clinical sessions and be on call for trauma along with the specialist trainees (day time only). Trauma services are provided at the University Hospital of Wales with a dedicated trauma theatre. The University Hospital of Wales is a busy trauma centre and provides tertiary referral service for spinal trauma, pelvic and acetabular trauma and complex limb trauma., Applicants are invited to apply in Welsh.
