An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Clinical Trials Technician to join the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. This team provides a high level, specialist service to support clinical trials across the Health Board. You'll be part of a small friendly team working closely with other multidisciplinary teams that contributes to potentially life changing treatment for our patients.

This role will be based within the main Pharmacy department in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff but will also cover sites across the Health Board as required by the service.

This is an exciting and developing service to be a part of and the successful applicant will be involved in the development and future planning for the service., o Coordinate the Clinical Trials service and manage technical staff, scheduling workload within the trials service, conducting appraisals and performance management of staff in the specialist area.o Ensure that the operational aspects of the service comply with all applicable legislation (MHRA, GCP) and professional standards (RPS) set out in guidelines of good clinical practice.o Participate in the strategic development of pharmacy clinical trials services.o Plan and deliver in-house Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training for pharmacy staff.o Ensure that quality monitoring systems are applied and results are to agreeable standards.o Take responsibility for solving complex problems and dealing with a broad range of non-routine issues, which are often unpredictable.o Dispense and accuracy check trial medication following GCP regulations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
