Full Job Description

At Gregory Distribution Ltd, due to continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Senior Commercial Bid Manager, to be based at our Cullompton Depot.

This position will involve leading the Business Solutions team to find the best in class solutions for the business.

The position involves:.

  • Winning new business opportunities through bids and proposals, aligning with strategic objectives and business development plans.

  • Develop and write clear, concise, and persuasive bid proposals are compliant with the tender requirements and guidelines, including formatting, content structure, and submission deadlines.

  • Proactive development of win themes, answer strategy and engaging customer focused content with relevant stakeholders.

  • Review, edit and proofread proposals to ensure they are error-free and of the highest quality.

  • Maintain and update a library of bid responses, ensuring all information is current, relevant and maintains the house style.

  • Developing and sharing best practices, improving content, messaging, and processes.

  • Comfortable leading commercial and operational discussions and contributing strategic and operational insight to proposals.

  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities, working with other areas of the group for them to become fruition inline with the groups strategic goals.

  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, to develop compelling and competitive bids.

  • Conducting research and supporting the business development team to source the best in class solutions for the company.

  • Generating monthly reports, analysing tender activity, and suggesting improvements.

  • Collaborating with the Business Development team and the wider business, offering advice and assistance as needed.

  • Managing the budget and monitoring spending to achieve planned objectives.

    Experience of bid management within the warehousing/transport and logistics industry is essential.

  • Member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) is advantageous.

  • Experience developing and implementing winning bid strategies.

  • Experience leading multiple, concurrent bids.

  • Experience managing a diverse range of stakeholders across multiple bids.

  • Experience of championing, developing and presenting best-in-class bids & tenders process

  • Strong organisational abilities and process minded.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Able to liaise at all levels in the organisation.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.

    Remuneration package worth £70,000-£80,000 DOE. This package includes excellent company benefits and company car allowance.

  • Hours of work are Monday - Friday, from 08:30hrs - 17:00hrs.
