Senior Commercial Manager

You will undertake an extensive induction and training programme and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions.Main duties of the job In this role you will be part of a dedicated team of procurement professionals responsible for negotiating and managing a variety of business critical commercial contracts and framework agreements for the provision of goods and services to NHSBT. Your responsibilities include:

• Working closely with suppliers and internal directorate customers to manage the contracting process end to end, to ensure that all interested parties needs are met.
• Delivering contracts that are robust, free from risk, legally binding and importantly cost efficient and effective.
• Ensuring that NHSBT can demonstrate to the public through the scrutiny of internal and external audit, that it obtains best value for money on its contracted non-pay expenditure and achieves savings targets.
• Ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Regulations including the legally mandated OJEU Directives and NHSBT Standing Orders and Financial Instructions.
• Co-ordinating and planning your own work and the work of staff responsible to you via a work programme.
