Senior Commercial Manager - Frameworks

As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will be part of the Client Commercial Team, within the Supply Chain Directorate, which plays a vital role in ensuring assurance, compliance, and effective delivery of professional services contracts supporting the Sizewell C (SZC) New Build Project. Responsible for managing and overseeing all NEC professional services contracts, the team facilitates resource augmentation and service delivery from the approved supply chain to the SZC organisation., As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be commercially responsible for all pre- and post-contract matters related to the contracts assigned to you. Reporting to and supporting a Commercial Lead, you will assess the scope, duration, and value of each contract against the Contract Authorised Sum (CAS) and define the commercial requirements. Lead a commercial team and play a key role in the procurement process during the pre-award phase.

Have a thorough understanding of best practice contract methodologies, with highly developed commercial skills and the ability to make sound decisions on high-value financial matters. A degree-level education is required, along with a solid background in contract performance measurement, risk management, and change and claim management.

You will have significant experience working with NEC and FIDIC contracts, particularly in the power construction industry and on major projects, with a strong knowledge of UK law and its implications for contract and commercial functions. Familiarity with nuclear site licence conditions, the nuclear baseline philosophy, and the UK regulatory framework is essential. Proficiency in using commercial management tools such as CEMAR and SAP is also required.
