Full Job Description

Croydon is running one of biggest organisational change programmes in local government today. We are looking for an experienced comms professional to develop and deliver our transformation communications and engagement strategy.

This is a high-profile role which will help Croydon achieve its transformation strategy, 'Future Croydon', and become a financially sustainable council that puts residents at the centre of everything it does.

The successful candidate will design and deliver the overarching communications and engagement strategy, and campaigns to our workforce, residents and partners.

These will include everything from targeted internal behaviour change campaigns, to external comms to keep our residents and partners informed every step of the way, sharing updates on delivery of transformation programmes and projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about organisational transformation and the future of local government.

We are looking for someone who can help to bring corporate strategy to life through real case studies and stories of transformation delivery.

Experience of managing communications plans and developing content for large corporate projects is essential.

Please note: this role will be part of the internal communications team, but the role holder will also be responsible for the delivery of external communications relating to transformation.

Sitting as part of the communications service, this is a full-time position (36 hours per week), based in central Croydon under the council's hybrid working policy. This is a fixed-term contract for 18 Months.
