Full Job Description
You'll develop and deliver the marketing and communications plan and help achieve our ambitions, targets and engage new and existing audiences. This will include leading on marketing activities and crafting promotional materials and content across all media platforms, with a clear focus on creative and informative content for our website and social media. You'll help us reach new and diverse audiences alongside partnership building with our local communities and key stakeholders. You'll have the confidence, communication skills and curiosity to proactively connect with a wide range of people internally and externally to learn what is going on all around the portfolio. You'll work alongside the team to make sure that we're sharing the best stories we can. You'll drive marketing campaigns to attract visitors to our places and spaces, and grow awareness and support of our core messaging and conservation work. Working in partnership with external organisations on joint communications will be key. Internal communications will also be part of your role to ensure staff and volunteers feel connected and engaged with what's happening on the ground.
We're looking for someone with innovative marketing and communication skills who can help shine a light on all that we do to connect people with the work of the Trust as a conservation charity., To deliver this role successfully, you'll need:
- practical experience in a marketing and communications role, with a good understanding of how different channels can be used effectively
- experience of developing and planning local marketing and communication plans and content
- experience of website management
- experience in managing multiple social media platforms
- an understanding of brand management with an eye for detail and experience in presentation and design
- proven track record of creating, using and editing content across different channels, based on audience insight and evaluation
- excellent written and verbal communications with attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of information shared
- to be a good team player, able to motivate others to build positive relationships with colleagues and partners
