Senior Community Continence Nurse

We see clients of all ages, many of whom, self refer to the service. The work is varied and you will be working independently within patient's own homes providing assessments and treatments to adults with bladder and or bowel symptoms. There will be support to achieve the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge before you work and assess independently.

The post holder will undertake a range of delegated tasks, reporting to the Bladder and Bowel Nurse Specialists. You will assist in the provision of a high quality and efficient service to all users .You need to be sensitive to patients' needs and adaptable in working in often a very busy environment

Community based, the post holder will assess patients in their own homes and occasionally in clinics. This can be a development role where nurses can increase their knowledge and skills as a Band 5 and work towards reaching the competencies to achieve the band 6 role.

The postholder will be responsible for a caseload of patients and work with other members of the domiciliary team
