Full Job Description

Following a successful pilot project and the progression of the previous post-holder, we are looking to recruit a Senior Community Support Worker for our Specialist Community CAMHS team based in South Hertfordshire (Watford/Borehamwood base).

South CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary team providing mental health assessment and intervention to young people aged 0-18 presenting with complex mental health difficulties.

Our team consists of psychiatry, clinical psychology, systemic therapists, child psychotherapist, clinical social workers, nursing, CAMHS practitioners and support workers., As part of this role you will be working closely with our care coordinators, psychiatry and our Clinical Nurse Specialist to support young people to engage with mental health services.

This role is both clinic based as well as involving significant outreach and community based support.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can work flexibly to support our young people.

It is essential for the candidate to have experience of working with individuals with mental health difficulties and an interest in working with young people in particular.

As part of this role, you will receive regular supervision and support and will have opportunities to further develop your skills.
