Full Job Description

BirdLife International is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to support the overall development and delivery of the BirdLife Global Flyways Programme., We are looking for someone to support the overall development and delivery of the BirdLife Global Flyways Programme, particularly through:

  • Coordination of BirdLife's work on illegal and unsustainable taking and trade of migratory birds globally,

  • Management of (or support to) BirdLife projects tackling illegal and unsustainable taking and trade of migratory birds, with a focus on the African-Eurasian Flyway,

  • Development of fundraising proposals and projects in line with the Flyways Programme 5-year plan., We are committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and supportive culture, a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit.   • We will consider putting into place appropriate reasonable adjustments for candidates who may have a disability.

  • MSc degree (or equivalent working experience) in a nature conservation relevant-subject

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of issues relating to migratory bird conservation and sympathy with NGO movement.

  • Demonstrable experience with development and management of large nature conservation projects and programmes.


  • You will be highly organised, able to manage diverse teams often at a distance, able to motivate others to deliver, able to track, prioritise and work to multiple deadlines and have attention to detail.
