Full Job Description

The role forms part of the Contracting and Procurement team which encompasses both the management and facilitation of partner relationships as well as the transactional activities required by the contracting and procurement/provider selection process.

The role is required to work flexible across the 5 places in West Yorkshire and an office base will be agreed with the individual., The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for the negotiation, management and delivery of an aligned portfolio of contracts with NHS and Non-NHS providers delivering services for the population of West Yorkshire. The post holder will ensure that robust contract and performance management is in place to support the delivery of the ICB strategic priorities.

The role will be required to build relationships with stakeholders ensuring they are appropriately involved in the shaping of the commissioning intentions, management of contracts, and that there are mechanisms in place to understand local ICB concerns and issues and ensure that feedback is provided on these.

The senior contracts manager will have responsibility for ensuring day to day issues relating to ICB contracts are resolved quickly and effectively.

The role will be part of the acute and independent sector portfolio team with responsibility for NHS acute provider contracts as well as Non-NHS Independent Sector contracts.
