Full Job Description

Some of the Key Responsibilities are
To be responsible for the overall management of the Contracts team, providing line management and support at a professional and managerial level
To be responsible for a portfolio of small/medium/large contracts. Lead the contract negotiations, provide and/or analyse contract activity, hold regular contract review meetings, and undertake any follow-up action. Ensure any Commissioner queries / disputes are resolved in a timely manner.
To initiate action plans and engage clinical leadership to drive robust contract management.
To provide contracting input to inform the Trust's business decisions, annual Plan/Monitor Plan & Other Returns as agreed
To act as an overall specialist with regard to Trust contracts, providing specialist advice in relation to contractual arrangements and related policies. Keep up to date with all relevant guidance, legislation and NHS targets and ensure the effective dissemination of relevant information as directed
To deputise for the Assistant Director of Contracting at key external meetings and forums, and present the Trust's agreed corporate position
To operate a cost effective service that drives continuous improvement of finance business practices and proactively promotes and supports change to deliver excellence in service delivery
To evolve a climate that recognises and rewards achievement, and challenges under performance, through excellent communication and engagement with the team, Ideally you will have prior NHS experience of working in contracting and be familiar with NHS standard contract. We are seeking someone with knowledge of buying healthcare services and/or arranging clinical contracts. You will know how to ensure the correct contracting processes are followed and provide an insight on how to make improvements in this area.

We have a role within our busy Contracts team at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Our Trust cares for people with mental health and emotional well-being needs every day. And we need your expertise.
This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week). The role will be based in Leatherhead in our newly refurbished Headquarters at the Mole Valley Business Park, however home working will be considered for the right applicant, but you will be required to attend the office 3 days per week., Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.
