Full Job Description

Direct reporting line to the EMEA Systems / HAC Finance Director (FD). The Senior Controller - EMEA Systems / HAC supports the FD as a right hand in all aspects of the FD role and responsibilities. Ranging from operating as a key business partner to the Systems / HAC Global Product Line Manager and plants to ensure growth and profitability of the Operation and Business, to safeguarding the assets of the corporation, maintaining the integrity of the Financials and ensure that all Corporate and GAAP policies are complied with including SOX, Eaton Policies and Procedures. The role supports a total revenue of USD 90M and the complexity of this role is unique for several reasons: The existing geographic mandate, technical and structural elements of this role are broad and inline with what we would typically see in a much larger Business. More specifically, the role is responsible for the assisting in managing 4 manufacturing facilities in 4 countries, 3 Sales offices, multiple currencies, a mix of product ranges (repetitive, Engineer To Order, service alongside multi year contracts) and sites currently not on SAP.

  • Providing accurate and relevant management information and supporting the FD to form sound financial and business advice.
  • Identify operational and commercial improvement opportunities to maximize key business performance; Revenue growth, Margin improvement, SG&A, Operating Profit, Operating Cash Flow, Working capital efficiency and Capex.
  • Support all Financial cadences for the BU with on-time deliveries and any needed ad hoc/deep dive analysis, e.g. Profit Plan, monthly Forecasts, weekly reports, Month-end closing, with detailed explanatory variance analysis including root causes, mitigating actions and support execution with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the FD and Plant controllers in the annual standard cost roll.
  • Work with Plant Controllers and relevant stakeholders on Standard margin variance analysis in order to analyze operational and financial data and performance, identify business drivers / root causes, evaluate their impact on planned objectives, support the FD to identify mitigating actions and support execution
  • Proactively support a 3 month rolling forecast across the P&L working alongside the sites to understand and drive performance.
  • Support the EMEA FP&A team to implement new enhanced models and processes to support the business e.g. Product line analysis and inventory management.
  • Support the FD in supervising the GFSS Teams for the BU, ensuring integrity of the financial data, consistency and transparency, as well as standard processes, models and analysis and effectively leverage functional resources.
  • Ensures integrity of the financial data and adequacy of all internal controls through the interpret, implementation and monitoring of Eaton policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX, US & local GAAP Financial and Tax policies and rules.
  • Support and deliver on Division / HQ requests and maintaining a timely update to RLT and direct Mgr.
  • Support SAP implementation within a site so ensure accurate financial reporting, aligned processes within the Business Unit and comply with country legal requirements.

    Professional Accounting qualification, Degree or MBA desirable
  • Financial manufacturing experience. Experience with complex Matrix organisations, Shared Service Centres and working with Regional/Division HQ desired.
  • Strong capability and knowledge of working with SAP, consolidation systems and Data warehouses. Knowledge of Standard costing. Excel advanced level.
