Full Job Description

The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Brand Strategy team aim for around 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role would be based in our new London Central Offices (Pimlico)., Reporting to the Content Lead, the role will lead a team of copywriters to produce innovative, inspiring, and engaging copy that is optimised for channel and audience. The Senior Copywriting Manager oversees the creation of all brand and creative copy for John Lewis & Partners, including but not limited to homepage and digital channels, in-store, POS, brand partnerships, seasonal campaigns, special projects, and OOH advertising. The ideal candidate has experience in managing a team and delivering best-in-class work that stands apart from the rest of the market, while responding to the needs and challenges of relevant stakeholders.

What you will be doing
Manage the conception and delivery of all brand and creative copy for John Lewis, including digital, CRM, in-store, POS, and campaigns.
Ensure all copy has been proofed, with a focus on ensuring that all work is original and unique to John Lewis, while using learning and past experience to inform future projects.
Forms strong cross-functional relationships while leading and nurturing the in-house copy team and our network of contracted writers.
Protect and evolve the John Lewis brand voice through style and tone of voice guidelines

Proven experience leading a team of copywriters within a brand or agency environment
A portfolio demonstrating excellent and original work in the Fashion, Beauty, Home, and/or Tech categories.
Experience in producing content for digital channels and an understanding of how Search Engine Optimisation informs best practices
Excellent written and spoken communication skills (in English) will be critical to this role.

Pay: £53,000.00 - £85,000.00 Annual
