We make health happen You'll play a vital role in delivery of the global Brand & External Communications strategy, by supporting the creation and delivery of global corporate storytelling externally to international audiences. You'll be an important part of a small team that helps drive external awareness around Bupa's purpose and brand. This means communicating about our sustainability ambitions, which are focused on the intersection of human health and the planet's health, how we're changing the way we deliver healthcare more digitally and explaining our progress to international media and financial audiences. It's a role that requires both strategic thought and tactical delivery, the ability to manage senior stakeholders and other teams across Group functions, building effective relationships with diverse colleagues and delivery of innovative, best-in-class communications and corporate affairs activity. How you'll help us make health happen
- You'll support the team in the Group's financial communications cycle, telling our growth story through financial results announcements, corporate news and publications.
- Project management, helping to draft and produce key Group corporate materials such as the Group Annual Report and Accounts, Full and Half Year financial results announcements and briefings to other external audiences.
- Draft high-quality written materials including briefing notes and presentations for our Group CEO and other senior leaders.
- Work with our content team to initiate ideas for digital, social and other written content to amplify our Group strategy, digital, healthcare and sustainability agenda and other announcements on our global-facing channels.
- Help to build and deliver a programme of media engagement, thought leadership and speaking opportunities for the Group CEO and other senior global leaders focused on the growth, transformation and sustainability pillars of our global strategy.
- Lead on monitoring the communications around corporate news and business developments of Bupa and competitors, as well as industry news and trends in the media
- Develop strong relationships across the MUs and other Group functions to keep up to date with activity across key markets that could be used for global external storytelling.
- Develop ideas for proactive external stories and pitch them to media organisations.
- Play a leading role in our reputation, media reach and sentiment measurement capability at Group and lead on how we identify and share insights across our teams.
- Lead in providing competitor news and activity analysis, horizon scanning and informing key stakeholders.
- Collate and report on global activity through collaboration with colleagues in the teams in our businesses around the world.
- Support with issues management and crisis communications.
- Manage senior executive LinkedIn profiles.
- Work closely and collaboratively with PR agencies and play an active role in working with suppliers and procurement.
Significant proven experience of Financial PR or Corporate Communications and external relations across multiple channels - Experience gained either in-house in a large, complex organisation or from Agency, working closely with a wide range of large corporate clients
- An expert in creating high quality written materials for senior stakeholders.
- Business writing and content production expertise with the ability to adapt your style for wide-ranging audiences.
- Brilliant, confident, effective stakeholder management skills up to the most senior level, accomplished in building trusted relationships across a complex, matrix business.
- A keen eye for a story and the ability to think creatively.
- Business-minded with the ability to understand financial data and sustainability information, and to convey this in clear and concise communications materials and compelling stories.
- Focused on delivery and the capability to deliver on brief, on budget and on time.
