Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for a motivated and talented Data Analyst to join the strategy and analysis team in our Insurance Division. The team is the focal point for the Insurance Division's data and analysis work and provides high quality data analysis to senior management and the wider organisation on priority issues. You will help us supervise over 6,000 regulated life and general insurance firms ranging from small high-street firms to large multi-national insurers.
What you will be doing
We need you to help make data led regulation a reality. You will:

  • Use the most suitable mathematical, statistical and data techniques to deliver data insights

  • Design, develop and maintain data visualisation products that enable insurance supervisors to understand and address key themes and trends

  • Have strong fundamentals and ways of working, for example delivering end to end data interpretation, including documentation so that work is explainable and repeatable

  • Engage with stakeholders to build an understanding of their requirements and plan and deliver great analysis

  • Deliver data-led supervisory insights and communicate "why do we care" message to non-technical stakeholders

  • What to expect from our interview process
    The process will involve the below stages:
  • A timed case study to be completed and sent back

  • A competency and technical interview

    Experience in end-to-end data extraction from a variety of data sources, employing data cleaning techniques and data manipulation (using tools such as SQL and Tableau/Tableau prep)

  • Experience of Data Analysis - employing statistical, mathematic and data analysis criteria to transform raw data into formats that can be easily processed and reviewed to provide business value insights

  • Salary: National ranging from £51,700 to £61,700 and London £56,400 to £66,400 per annum - Salary offered will be based on skills and experience
