Senior Data Protection Advisor

Providing outsourced DPO and DPO Assist services to clients
Undertaking large scale data protection projects for International and Supranational clients, ensuring project deliverables are of a high quality and delivered on time
Line management of one or more Data Protection Advisors
Responsibility for driving key improvements to team systems and processes
Writing briefs for clients on relevant topic areas, including newsletter pieces and other outreach material
Attending and presenting at client meetings
Business development tasks, including developing proposals and bids for new projects.

The successful candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)/UK GDPR, and ideally have experience working with other privacy laws and frameworks. Good problem-solving skills are essential to this position, to support tailored data protection improvement and project management for clients. 5+ years' experience in a role centred on data protection
Thorough working knowledge of UK or EU data protection legislation
Experience leading assessments and risk management for complex data processing activities
Project management skills, with a proven track record of independently leading projects to successful completion
Ability to analyse legislative requirements and translate these into organisational practices and solutions
Experience in line management
Client and stakeholder management skills and experience
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong attention to detail

Desirable

Experience of business development and proposal/tender writing
A working knowledge of cybersecurity
Experience of other privacy frameworks outside of GDPR, including the EUDPR
Experience of writing newsletters and outreach materials
Experience of working in large/complex organisations
