Senior - Data Scientist - with a focus on Generative AI & Machine Learning (Financial Services)

Role Summary: EY is looking for a talented and driven Data Scientist to deliver generative AI products within Tax, supporting UK Financial Services Tax in delivering cutting-edge generative AI solutions to our FS clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science, with hands-on experience in building machine learning models, conducting product analytics, and crafting AI strategies within the financial services industry.,

• Collaborate with the AI team to develop and refine machine learning models that address complex tax-related challenges faced by financial services clients.
• Contribute to the creation of AI proofs of concept (POCs), demonstrating the practical applications and benefits of AI in the financial services sector.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into broader service offerings, enhancing the value delivered to clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data science and AI.
• Support client engagements, providing technical expertise and insights to inform decision-making and strategy.
  
  Proven experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning model development/LLM application development.
• Familiar with frameworks and GenAI tools including LangChain, AutoGen, OpenAI and Ollama
• Formal training and hands-on experience in data science, including the use of relevant tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL and JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of AI strategy design and the development lifecycle.
• Ideally, a background in technology with additional experience of accounting or mathematics with the ability to apply interdisciplinary knowledge to solve complex problems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines., A bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data science/developer role, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Experience with accounting principles and financial data is highly desirable.
