Full Job Description
This role works within the Commercial and Programme Delivery team, who deliver major contracts, projects, and programmes on behalf of His Majesty's Coastguard (HMCG). HM Coastguard has responsibility for the six internationally recognized functions of, Maritime Search and Rescue, Pollution Response, Vessel Traffic Monitoring, Maritime Safety, Maritime Security and Accident and Disaster Response.
The Senior Delivery Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of effective and efficient Project and Programme management processes. Leading on projects to ensure successful delivery on time, to budget and delivering the anticipated benefits.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Manage a mixture of projects, leading on Project Management as required within the Commercial and Programme Delivery team.
+ Lead and deliver programme workstreams and projects, including associated plans, through all stages of their lifecycle as required, within a defined timeframe.
+ Work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and supporting resources to achieve the above across the MCA, including other programme team members, operational stakeholders, legal, commercial, financial and technical leads, Department for Transport (DfT), Cabinet Office and wider government stakeholders.
+ Undertake all required project reporting on behalf of the associated programme across the MCA and more widely as required.

MCA supports flexible working and operates a hybrid working model between home and office for this role, giving you greater flexibility over where and when you work.
The expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your working time based at your principal workplace or out on official business. Details of the arrangement will be discussed further with your line manager.
There may be a requirement for occasional travel on official duty within the UK, which may involve overnight stays. Notice will be given prior to travel.

+ Experience of large projects/programmes.

This interview will be conducted via face to face at our Southampton HQ. Further details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
