Full Job Description

To support and assist the clinical team to ensure a high standard of care to patients who may be vulnerable, have complex medical or mental health conditions, learning disabilities etc.

To oversee that all administrative tasks are carried out to ensure the efficient operation of the clinical session and hospital lists. This includes an overview of the clinical appointment books and waiting lists within the service.

To offer leadership and guidance within area of responsibility.

To provide leadership to the dental nurse and administrative team, this is to include human resource management and development of the team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Dental Nurse who has a passion for dentistry. This is a new role within the Community Dental Service, this role will support the with the allocation of staff, the allocation of mandatory training sessions and lead on infection prevention for the service. The suitable candidate will be part of an experienced team, who will offer support and mentorship to enable you to develop and grow within the role.

The candidate must maintain high standards of clinical care and be committed to their continual professional development. It is preferrable that the candidate has some management experience and knowledge, however this is not essential, as the development of these skills will be supported. The candidate will be given the opportunity to attend training and development in order to carry out the duties within the job description.

Some travel across the district is a requirement of the role in order to successfully undertake the range of duties specified within the job description. Therefore, it is essential that applicants have the ability to travel across the district as and when required to meet the needs and demands of the service.
