Full Job Description

St Catherine's is seeking to appoint a confident, positive and experienced Senior Deputy to work closely with the Headmistress on strategy and operations following the current Senior Deputy's well-deserved promotion to Head at another London girls' school.

The role is integral to the daily life of the School, and the successful candidate will have a love for teaching, have strong organisational and management skills, and be a person who seeks positive and supportive relationships with staff and pupils. A creative and ambitious approach is required, as the Senior Deputy has the freedom to develop new initiatives.

There is flexibility as to the portfolio and responsibilities for this post; applicants are invited to outline their experiences, ideas about leadership, and personal strengths during the interview process. The post could be filled by someone with any professional experience or specialism: safeguarding, pastoral care, academic management or school logistics. Responsibilities are assigned within the senior team according to ability and preference and the needs of the School.

The successful candidate will be expected to play a full and positive role in all aspects of school life and show an understanding of St Catherine's inclusive Catholic ethos. You will be able to demonstrate and encourage best practice in teaching and management and be able to motivate others. The role includes a small teaching allocation.

You will join a positive and aspirational Senior Management Team and an enthusiastic, friendly and professional staff body that is committed to the care of St Catherine's pupils.

If you feel you have the experience, enthusiasm and commitment we are looking for, then we would be delighted to receive an application from you.
