Full Job Description

  • Leadership, supervision, responsibility of CSA designer's team assigned to project. Assign work to teams, monitor and manage the work of Home office and Global workshare offices.
  • Sound understanding of the technical and execution requirements for CSA.
  • Supervise and provide guidance/assistance to project designers.
  • Develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline design work.
  • Develop schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, including manpower forecasts.
  • Establish, track and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts.
  • Deliver quality work, adhere to the Fluor Operating System Requirements, industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
  • Support in the development of department standards, procedures, practices, and guidelines.
  • Support with company functions outside the department.
  • Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities.
  • Participate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, conducting training seminars including performance appraisal input and counselling.
  • Travel abroad to support project design in Global workshare officesBasic Job Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Proven track record as Lead Civil, Structural and Architectural Designer in execution of projects in FEED and EPC Phases., Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
  • Review layouts and/or schematics for conceptual and detailed designs developed by the multidiscipline design group.
  • Attend design review meetings / modelling reviews, both internal and with client.
  • Review steel, concrete, civil and Underground drawings.
  • Review fabricator drawings.
  • Review bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations.
  • Monitor and support work performed by Fluor offices or other designated entities performing Distributed Execution Engineering.
  • Support Construction and Logistics, provide quick resolution to site technical queries.
  • Direct and oversee audits, peer reviews. Participate as required in audits.
  • Prepare/review scopes of work for third party contracts.
  • Support Functional Process Lead and Department Manger on discipline initiatives.
  • Support Department Manager in recruiting and hiring activities.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans
  • Engage Fluor's global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset.
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
  • May need to travel to attend to business related matters.
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
  • Reports to CSA Department Manager. Assist with departmental administrative duties.
  • Ensure design activities are aligned with the project schedule and other disciplines.
  • Other Job Requirements

  • Oil and Gas engineering experience in upstream, downstream, petrochemical sectors. LNG, Offshore, Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing experience is beneficial.
  • Workshare experience with Global Engineering offices and Multidiscipline experience essential.
  • Sound Knowledge and hands on working experience in 2D (Autocad) / 3D (S3D) Design software essential.
  • Sound knowledge and hands on working experience in Navisworks / SmartPlant review essential.
  • HNC or equivalent in engineering field of study and relevant industry experience is required.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Review 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings and the 3D model using 3D review platform., Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability, cost of materials.
  • Professional registration and membership in technical society.
  • Managing and leading a large project.
  • Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out.
  • Practical Field experience.
  • Experience in Revit /Civil 3D/Openroads /E3D/ Tekla Software
  • BIM knowledge
  • Review of Architectural drawings.
  • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
