Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer and Content Manager to join our fast-paced Marketing and Communications team on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months. This is a pivotal role within our 10-member team, which covers a diverse range of responsibilities, including brand management, digital and print design, PR, social media, and more. Reporting to the Studio Design Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Communications and PR, Digital Marketing Manager, and other team members to produce compelling and engaging content across all channels. This post is full time working an average of 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and is fixed term for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave. What you will be doing: Print and Digital Design

  • Delivering high-quality print and digital designs, ensuring projects are completed on time and align with organisational goals.
  • Leading design projects from concept to completion, working with clients to meet briefs while maintaining adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Continuously suggest and implement improvements to the brand's visual identity and literature.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, presenting creative ideas and working through revisions to meet expectations.
  • Stay up to date with new design techniques, including animation, to enhance and diversify Jewish Care's content output.
  • Ensure consistency across all marketing and event materials.
  • Content Creation
  • Contributing to the development of content for PR and print publications, social media, and marketing campaigns.
  • Attending weekly PR and digital content planning meetings to share ideas and ensure alignment with communication goals.
  • Capturing stories, photography, video content, and quotes from across the organisation to create engaging multimedia content.
  • Creating and managing digital media, including infographics, animations, GIFs, and videos for social media platforms.
  • Attending Jewish Care events to gather new content and boost engagement.
  • Assisting in producing e-communications using platforms like MailChimp to support fundraising and event promotion.

    Strong experience in both print and digital design, including hands-on experience in content creation for social media.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with animation tools.
  • Experience creating video, infographics, and other digital media for multiple channels.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present creative ideas to clients and stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for Jewish Care's mission and values, with a passion for using design and content to enhance engagement.
