Full Job Description
Diabetes Care for You is a multidisciplinary community diabetes service covering Brighton, Hove, High Weald and the Havens in East Sussex. The service comprises of consultants, nurses, dietitians, podiatrists, psychologists and support staff, that all contribute to the development of this innovative service., We are seeking to recruit a Senior Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist to work within our Podiatry team., The Senior Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist will work in partnership with patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes with moderate, high risk and active foot problems in a community setting, aiming to improve outcomes for patients. This includes the development of clinic-based care, home visits, along with healthcare professional and patient education programmes for diabetes management. The post holder will also establish and maintain effective working relationships with health professionals in both primary and secondary care. They will work alongside the Lead Podiatrist to develop their clinical skills, and those of the team of Band 5 and Band 6 Podiatrists, to ensure the provision of high quality specialist podiatry care to patients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team integrating physical and psychological support.
