Full Job Description
Balfour Beatty Regional Buildings has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Document Controller to join our Birmingham office.
Role Purpose
- To manage and control all project document workflows to ensure accurate registration, storage of information/correspondence, accurate liaison with site team, subcontractors, customers, external suppliers.
- To provide subject matter expertise and coaching on the use of Business Collaborator and other information management platforms to relevant teams/subcontractors.
- Manage and maintain confidential records
- Interpret project requirements and introduce appropriate workflows/transmittals
- Manage the control of Internal and External registers, to ensure they both align
- Create templates and file all relevant documentation; SharePoint and other platforms
- Distribute information with correct configuration management and version control
- Understand the integrated nature of document control with all stakeholders
- Seek continuous improvement on current systems and processes
- Ensure information from reports supports the wider project objectives
- Provide feedback such that the team are aware of all documentation issues
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm and contribute toward observation and other KPIs
- Liaise with project teams to ensure they have a full understanding of document control
- Provide training as required such that documentation control requirements are met
The following qualities/experience are essential: - Proficient in IT systems used in document control
- Good experience of document control
- Basic understanding of BIM and digital tools
- Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation
- Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence
- Experience of working on a variety of project types
- Proficient on O365
- Holds a current driving license
- Holds a formal qualification (BSc) in management/construction or experience equivalent
- Holds CSCS
