Full Job Description

MFT Community Eating Disorder Service are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their highly skilled multi disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and intervention to a caseload of young people and their families across the MFT footprint. This post will be within Central Manchester, North Manchester and Salford. The successful candidate will be expected to travel between our bases at The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, The Bridge (CAMHS) and Pendleton Gateway (CAMHS).
The successful candidate will undertake any and all training pertinent to the role, including family therapy for anorexia nervosa (FTAN). Clinical and management supervision will be provided, along with a reflective group ran by psychotherapy.
You would be joining a passionate team with an excellent reputation, locally, regionally and nationally. The team consists of Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Senior Eating Disorder Practitioners, Eating Disorder Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Dietitians, Family Therapists, CBT therapists, Clinical support workers and admin. We pride ourselves on providing specialist and timely treatment to all of our young people and their families. We provide a range of therapies and interventions, including systemic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviural therapy, Compassionate Focussed Therapy, and Adolescent Focused Therapy., + To be clinically responsible for a caseload of young people with a Primary Eating Disorder
+ To provide clinical assessments (along with another member of the team) to determine if a patient has a Primary Eating Disorder, and to signpost and provide onward referrals where appropriate
+ To deliver NICE concordant specialist treatment (training to be provided)
+ To liaise with other members of the MDT to ensure safe and joint working.
+ To liaise with external MDT members where necessary
+ To provide supervision to junior members of the team
+ To provide training to external agencies
