Full Job Description

The Senior Editor contributes to the production of a high-quality, monthly , open access journal.,

  • Coordinating peer review of Research papers, negotiating revisions

  • Reviewing Comments, Correspondence, and commission content to meet annual targets.

  • Writing editorials

  • Cultivating public health connections, surveying literature for journal content, and identifying suitable authors

  • Representing the journal at events, identifying topics and authors, and staying current in public health through conferences and gatherings.

  • Sub-editing material from all sections of the journal to improve clarity of expression, and to conform to journal style

  • Suggesting and helping to develop new initiatives for the further development of the journal

    A PhD (in a relevant subject) is desirable

  • Have good knowledge of public health and medical sciences

  • Be fluent in English (oral and written) and excellent all-round communication skills

  • Be able to travel
