Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Educational Psychology Service Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £60,160 - £63,836 (with the opportunity for up to 3 SPAs) and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking to recruit a positive, forward thinking Individual to complement and strengthen our existing team.

The Educational Psychology Service is a highly valued team within the Local Authority. We work collaboratively with other services to deliver a flexible and creative model of service delivery with a focus on wellbeing at its core.

We offer a consultation based model of service delivery, alongside opportunities for in-depth casework, systemic and innovative project work, and research.

The successful applicant will work alongside our team of skilled Assistant Educational Psychologists. EPs are encouraged to follow their own professional interests wherever possible, in order to expand the scope and meet the needs of learners in schools.

We are committed to building capacity in schools, and the service offers a range of training and support packages to meet local needs such as MELSA, ELSA, Thrive, attachment/ trauma informed practice and CBT groups.

1. An Honours Degree in Psychology acceptable for membership of the BPS.
2. A recognised post graduate qualification to practice as an Educational Psychologist and Membership of the HCPC.
3. At least 3 years' experience working as an Educational Psychologist.
4. Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit schools, attend meetings, visit clients., Disability Confident
