Salford Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is excited to announce that we are looking for a talented and experienced Educational Psychologist to enhance our innovative and supportive team. We require a passionate leader and manager with expertise in the area of Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).This is an exciting and important role that will make a difference at strategic level for this group of children. We are a values-driven service and this is evident in day-to-day interactions as well as the bigger decisions made about the service. The team is highly valued in the Local Authority and well regarded by local schools, families and commissioners. We have fantastic relationships with our schools; over 90% of whom buy traded packages for in depth casework and development work. All team members take responsibility for the day to day running of the service. There is a good balance of statutory and non statutory work. EPs working within the service have reported that we are flexible, collaborative and innovative: "You get to follow your interests and try different projects to learn something new"; "It's a fun service to work for and people really care about what they do". We are a supportive, friendly, enthusiastic team where we are encouraged to apply psychology creatively in order to contribute to Council priority areas. We have good links with other Local Authorities, providing opportunities for regional and national collaboration.,

    An experienced Educational Psychologist that is committed to offer the highest of quality service to Salford children and young people, families, schools, services and the local authority
  • an ability to apply psychology creatively in order to maximise impact and contribute to Salford City Council priority areas
  • dynamic and hardworking team player that is able to work both independently and part of a team
  • a psychologist that is a good generalists in the first instance who is child centred and an advocate for the vulnerable groups they serve
  • fully qualified and HCPC registered Educational Psychologists with leadership experience
  • a well developed specialism in using Psychology to support systemic change for children with SEMH

    Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £38.00. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months' salary payments at a rate of £9.50 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £38.00.
