As a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the testing and commissioning of RACE electrical systems, ensuring compliance with site requirements and safety standards. You will oversee the installation of hardware and cabling for remote handling applications, including control panels, cubicles, and harnesses, while supporting the Electrical Implementation Section Leader across the RACE portfolio.

This practical position may also require you to work on external sites, including international locations, as part of your responsibilities. If you can produce high-quality documentation and deliver exceptional work within deadlines to successfully close out projects, possess excellent demonstrable workshop skills, and have a flexible working attitude with the ability to complete tasks both individually and as part of a team, we would love to hear from you.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Prepare and assess technical documentation such as testing and commissioning procedures, safety assessments and method statements, as required with responsibility for the final sign off.
- Provide quality assurance during and upon completion of equipment.
- Defining and setting standards and best working practices.
- Take responsibility for testing and commissioning of equipment, ensuring suitable and sufficient work control documentation is provided and adhered to.
- Supervise technicians for electrical installation, test, and commissioning tasks.

Formal Electrical/Electronic/Engineering qualification (City and Guilds, ONC, HNC, BSc, BEng)
- Previous experience in a practical role within a relevant field delivering complex electrical systems.
- Extensive experience in commissioning electrical systems, with a strong understanding of electrical schematics and general assembly drawings.
- Demonstratable experience with building, layout and wiring and modifying electrical panels, harnesses and large electrical cabinets/cubicles.
- Experience working in a safety-focused environment, supervising technicians and coaching less experienced staff.

The salary for this role is £54,376 (inclusive of a Market Premium Payment (MPP) £6,000), and onsite working is expected.
