Your duties will include the management of both individual design packages and entire projects, supporting project resourcing and financial control to ensure our schemes are delivered profitably, to programme and in accordance with Atkins' quality assurance systems.
  • You will have a background in civil engineering design and experience of delivery of single and multi-disciplinary projects within highway and local authority environments. You will ideally be familiar with working on projects at varying stages of development from feasibility to detailed design.
  • Don't meet every single requirement? At Atkins we are dedicated to building an inclusive, diverse and authentic workplace, so if you're past experience doesn't completely match our requirements, but you are excited by our opportunity and the prospect a career with Atkins can offer, we encourage you to apply!

  • Sufficient experience to undertake technical reviews of designs and understanding of relevant design standards (e.g. DMRB, TSRGD, MCHW, Eurocodes etc. AASHTO experience would be beneficial)
  • Ability to develop and agree scopes and manage the internal technical supply chain, including budgets, programme and quality of deliverables, delivering within set time.
  • Excellent project management skills, commercial awareness, financial control and ability to deliver across a range of contract types. This will include an ability to manage stakeholders, e.g. specialist suppliers, independent checkers and local authorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to converse with a wide range of Clients and colleagues across a number of engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
