Full Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ECM C-code implementation for Lotus and third-party engine applications. This will lead to progressing to VCU / EDU model based auto code software development at the appropriate project timing. What You'll Do:
- Experience with writing C-code software, ideally for engine management systems and possibly transmission control systems. Be able to implement the software for new functions, test and calibrate.
- Carry out vehicle and engine controls system development to Lotus or customer development processes.
- Prepare for and attend offsite testing and climatic test trips when required.
- Create control algorithm specifications.
- Create or modify calibration procedures for new or developing control algorithms.
Engineering degree / HNC or equivalent experience. - A thorough understanding of automotive legislative requirements.
- A thorough understanding of powertrain controls strategies and software development.
- Able to understand and write C-code.
- High level PC skills expected (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
