Job Title: Senior Engineer – Nuclear Safety Regulation & Interface

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing Support, independent advice, and guidance on the requirements of the Nuclear Site License, Authorisation and Environmental Permits to relevant business teams to ensure compliance with both statutory and contractual obligations
  • Influencing business management arrangements and ways of working
  • Interfacing with a broad diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and authorities
  • Opportunities to get involved in other parts of the team

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Stakeholder management experience – working with various stakeholders incl. Contractors, Directors etc
  • Experience of technical / report writing and persuasive written argument
  • Experience in providing technical advice
  • Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirement

Desirable:

  • Experience in a high hazard regulated industry

The Nuclear Safety Regulation and Interface Team:

The Nuclear Safety and Regulation Department oversee the nuclear regulation for site. They exist to provide specialist advice to the business with regards to nuclear safety and site licensing and is a key part of maintaining the license to operate. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
