Full Job Description

  • Following internalprocedures and developing evidence of compliance through writtencalculations andreports
  • Undertaking peer reviewchecking activities to approve methods andcalculations
  • Leading and supporting theidentification and rapid closure of issues emerging from allproduct lifecyclestages
  • Supporting technicaldevelopment and research activities, methods and acceptancecriterion, liaising with industrial partners and external customersas necessary
  • Providing realisticprogramme status, identify problem areas and implement agreedrecovery plans
  • Supporting junior engineerswithin the team
  • Supporting installationactivities in the production environment
  • Your skills andexperiences : Essential
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEMdegree)
  • Understanding of material strength properties (elasticand plasticproperties)
  • Desirable
  • Knowledge of MatLab orMathCad
  • Experienced in the use of SolidWorks design software(training can be provided)
  • Comfortable supporting in production environments

The Propulsor team : ThePropulsor Team are responsible for supporting the designmanufacture and in service support for propulsors across multipleplatforms. The team uses various pieces of design software as wellas being involved in manufacturing and installation activities. Theteam provides a full cradle to grave level of support to all thingsrelated topropulsors. We offerrelocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject tomeeting eligibilitycriteria.
