Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Strategic Property for a Senior Estates Surveyor to lead a group of professionals within the Council's Estates Team.

Reporting to a Head of Estates you will be responsible for a core part of the Council's Estates Service.

You will lead an effective estate management and valuation service for the Council, specialising in property and strategic asset management. Ensuring that the Council grows its real estate portfolio income and delivering key services to residents. The post holder will have previous experience of mixed portfolios, maximising revenues and taking strategic decisions to the benefit of the Estate. An understanding of inward investment and regeneration would be beneficial, but not essential.

As a senior member of the Estates Team and the wider Strategic Property Service you will play a key role in the delivery of Council and Place Directorate priorities. You will support the implementation of a Strategic Asset Management Plan and delivery of all the Council's projects and programmes.

With your advanced theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge and experience in relation to a whole range of property issues covering buildings, investment assets and land, you should have experience in successful property negotiations and be able to work at pace with enthusiasm and professionalism whilst engaging with and influencing key stakeholders., Our employees' skills, experience and knowledge are essential to our success along with their happiness, wellbeing, commitment, enthusiasm and motivation to be the best they can be.
